Located in central Birmingham approximately 15 minutes walk from New Street Station and the famous Bullring shopping centre, Aston University is truly an urban campus. Since receiving its Royal Charter in 1966, Aston has grown into one of the world's leading universities under 50 years old. Famous for its Business School, Optometry and Pharmaceutical courses, Aston is a favourite destination of both UK and International students. With a focus on placements (over 70% of Aston undergrads take one), Aston alumni find it easier to find a job with experience already on their CV.

Aston used to have a reputation for old, outdated student halls of residence, but a recent building spree has seen nearly all the old accommodation replaced with new. International students will be happy to hear that all new rooms come with ensuite bathrooms and no room on campus is more than a 10 minute walk from class.
