BSc (Hons) Business Management @ Keele

The opportunity to choose between a lot of different societies makes sure, that there is one for everyone. From dancing to creative writing, orchestra or discussion groups there is really everything. By joinging these societies it is easy to make new friends and enjoy the time at Keele. The other students are very nice and try to help whenever they can, same do the lecturers and tutors. The teaching is good and as an international one can always speak to the lecturers if one didn't understand something. They respond very quickly to e-mails.
The campus is a good mixture of old and new buildings and the library is open 24/7 which gives every student the opportunity to study whenever they can concentrate the best but during exam period it might be a bit difficult to find some seats to study. There should be more space for it, especially in the group work area. The landscape is very pretty with lots of trees and the next town is not far away. There are some small supermarkets on campus which are a bit expensive but they are open till the late evening, so there are good for things which one forgot to buy in town. Newcastle-under-Lyme has a huge and cheap supermarket which is just 15 minutes away by bus.
One of the negative points is, that one doesn't want to pay the highest amount of money possible for accomodation, it is likely to live in a block with up to 29 other students, sharing one kitchen and just having one bathroom for guys and girls each. Therefore it is definetly a good idea to have your own sink in your room. The freshers, who will live in the same block, are going out basically every night and are usually noisy when they come back during the night. Most of the internationals are living in Hawthorns Hall, which is in Keele village. I enjoy the 15 minutes walk on campus but I know some people do not like this.
The university helps in every possible way, one just has to ask for it. For me it was very easy to transfer to Keele. I was a study abroad student last semester but I moved to Keele I just had to say that I want to change the university and they did everything needed on their own and very fast.
It is a good place to meet a lot of new students from all over the world with different cultural backgrounds. Keele gives every international student the opportunity to experience England the way they like. They offer trips to nice and/or famous cities (like Edinbrough, London, Birmingham, Cambrigde...) but they are not compulsary.
The course Business Management and Marketing is really good if one likes to learn about the consumers and how they can be influenced by advertisements. It is all about learning different theories and it is a lot of work to do after the lectures, like writing essays, but therefore there is sometimes no additional exam at the end of the semester or the exam counts about 50%. Most of the modules, especially for Marketing are really interesing. What surprised me most was the fact that, besides in the financial modules, there is no maths at all.
Being a Keele student gives you the feeling of having a second family.

MA Marketing @ Keele

It is awesome to be at Keele for the MA Marketing course. Curriculum is ok, with many essential modules. Specially, I had a chance to do the work placement in a national theatre for the graduation report. Believe it or not, it was an amazing experience!!!

MA Marketing @ Keele

The academic programme of the MA Marketing course was very good and I can say that I have learnt a lot from the couse. But the biggest problem was the dominant number of Chinese students in all courses of business. Sometimes you can realise that Chinese is the main language in classes instead of English. Overall, Keele is not a bad choice to study in the UK but UK may be not a good one to study abroad if you can't speak Chinese. Cheers!
