Middlesex is an okay university but I think it's location is too far from anuthing. Stuck away from London, it is so expensive to do anything and Hendon isn't exactly bustling. I enjoy my course but it is tarnished by the cost and expenses. I had to live in a house and it has been rubbish.

Let me start by saying that one of the many reasons why I wanted to get accepted at Middlesex University so bad is because of its BAFTA award winning team. The staff teaching the Animation course have a solid background and the experience required to prepare us (the students) for the animation industry. Constructive criticism is a key practice, and help is always available on the spot.
During the first week our course leader gave each student a free 500GB Portable Hard Drive together with art supplies, A4 and A5 Sketchbooks, and 'The Animator's Survival Kit' book by Richard Williams – everything FREE OF CHARGE. School trips are mostly paid by the University itself and should the outing require a trip abroad 50% of the total travelling costs are usually backed up by the college itself. Also, each student has his/her own budget (issued by the university) and all our stationary and art supplies are usually refunded.
Campus facilities are top notch, including industry-standard-equipment, which is loanable, be it cameras, lenses, cintiq or intuos tablets, zoom recorders, you name it!
With a Library which is open 24/7 to all the students, the University Hub also offers free seminars throughout the year – be it about writing essays, giving presentations, or anything which concerns academia, the University provides all the training required. On Tuesdays and Thursdays free life drawing workshops in the evenings are also available to all the art and design students, yet again free of charge.
Socialising events are present every week both at campus quad as well as in the Art and Design Faculty (The Grove), not to mention the availability of a pub/club right next to the campus, which is open all week as a pub and as club for weekend nights.
My experience at Middlesex University over the past few months has been nothing short of great and I can easily say that overall this university has exceeded my expectations. I am very happy studying at Middlesex University, I am very grateful to the staff and facilities offered by this college. For me it is truly a blessing being here.
When I have chosen to study at this university I made a research on internet (it was the only way to find out more about the university) and I found it a good one, with a diversity of international students-a good point for me because my english is not very good and I was sure that teaching is more easy to understand, the teachers are more dedicated to prononce the english words easy for understand. I was totally right! When I arrived here, in London, I was very shy and afraid because i was know nobody, every place was strange for me, honestly it took me a lot of time to know how to arrive at uni, how to go back home, London is so big!! But, the university staff is very friendly and helpfull, everytime i needed some help, they did it! So, i am very happy with my choice and i hope the next international students will enjoy London's life!
