Sports Development and Coaching @ Staffordshire

reviewed on October 26, 2014

After my three years of studying I can say that they were the best three years of my life. The whole journey throughout my time there just developed me as a person. When I first started at Staffordshire university I was quite quiet.. I moved into clarice cliff halls and straight away the people I met were so nice and genuine and really sociable with me. We used to go out as a flat and the socialisation was really good and really brings out the person inside you. Then I joined the hockey team, this was the best decision I made at university I met so many great people and it just made my whole university experience.. Varsity is something to look forward to the team work and the passion that comes from you is unimaginable.. You all come together as a club and as a university. The feeling is immense. The teaching throughout is like all you go to get an education in some thing you love.. Whilst having the time of your life your also being learnt something you love so you can achieve the career you've worked for.. The only thing was the timetable they split it up far too much you could be in at 9am in the morning till 10am then not be in until 5 in the evening.. I personally would prefer just to have it straight after one another. But other than that my overall experience of university was its something that develops you and changes you and your life for the better it is an experience that you don't want to miss.

BSc (hons) Psychology @ Staffordshire

The campus was easy to find as right outside train station, was easy to navigate as had lots of signs and maps dotted around. The social life is great as the campus and halls aren't far from Stoke City centre, where there are clubs, shops and bars for students to go to. Also, the fresher week Facebook page regularly posted updates and pictures on the night events and sporting events, making it easy to know when and where events were. The teaching staff on my course were mostly really good, although some seemed to just read off the lecture slides, making it seem like there was no point in actually attending the lecture. Although the majority were friendly and helpful, and available all the time. Overall I had a great experience at Staffordshire university and am very sad to be leaving soon!,

the first semester was very chaotic with time table issues and alot of "lets watch this BBC documentary" but these issues seem to have been resolved
