Terms of Service

1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms govern use of the GoToStudy platform and related services. By accessing or using the service, users agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

  • Users must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
  • Institutional accounts are responsible for all actions performed under their organization tenancy.
  • Children and minors may access services only under applicable school/parental authority and law.

3. Acceptable Use

  • No unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or malicious use of the platform.
  • No attempts to bypass tenant isolation, access controls, or security controls.
  • No upload of malware, harmful scripts, or prohibited content.

4. Data Processing and Privacy

We process personal data for education, operations, security, billing, and compliance. Data handling aligns with applicable privacy frameworks (such as GDPR/UK GDPR, CPRA/CCPA, and other regional laws where applicable).

5. Cookie and Tracking Terms

The platform uses cookies and similar technologies to deliver core functionality and optional features. Essential cookies are always active. Non-essential categories are controlled by user preferences:

  • Essential: Security, authentication, and session continuity.
  • Analytics: Usage measurement and performance insights.
  • Preferences: User settings and interface personalization.
  • Marketing: Campaign measurement where legally permitted.

Users may accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or save custom preferences. Preference changes can be made at any time through cookie settings.

6. International Transfers

Where data is transferred across borders, we apply appropriate safeguards (such as contractual clauses and security controls) required by applicable law.

7. Security and Incident Response

We implement technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, role-based access control, logging, and incident response procedures. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Subprocessors and Third Parties

We may use trusted subprocessors (e.g., infrastructure, email, storage, analytics providers) under contractual obligations for confidentiality, security, and legal compliance.

9. Service Levels, Suspension, and Termination

  • Service availability targets may be published separately in plan/SLA documents.
  • Accounts may be suspended for security, abuse, non-payment, or legal reasons.
  • Upon termination, data retention/deletion follows legal and contractual obligations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" basis and liability is limited as described in the governing commercial agreement.

11. Governing Law and Regional Rights

These Terms are interpreted under applicable governing law specified in the customer agreement. Mandatory consumer or privacy rights in local jurisdictions remain unaffected.
